Both of the knife blades, plain and serrated, were heavily used and I found them to be up to any task. They were razor sharp and kept a keen edge through the toughest jobs. The pliers and wire cutter performed very well, too. I occasionally used the saw blade and found it to be useful, as well. I used the screwdrivers from time to time and, although not as good as a dedicated screwdriver, they performed better than I expected. – D. Bucknet

The Leatherman New Wave is a multi tool that’s packed with features and functions for a wide variety of jobs. We like that the 18 tools it comes with virtually replaces a whole tool box of heavy tools. Its durable stainless steel construction combined with its easy one-handed operation is a big bonus. One of the things we noticed during our Leatherman New Wave Review is that the tools all lock and combine external locking for the blades and the pliers, with positive locking, for the internal tools such as the scissors and screwdrivers.
